I tried installing this over the top of my existing Amazon Music app and it crashed the Mac again.Įach time I get back to the desktop and it shows the 'Report Error to Apple' window I can see a line in the error log mentioning something about process/thread for "" seemingly implying that my Norton 360 software is somehow the cause of these issues. Unfortunately the 'dmg' file doesn't give a file version string.
I then tried downloading a fresh/new installer of Amazon Music for Mac from the Amazon UK website this evening. The file info for the 'Amazon Music.app' file shows v8.3.0.Īnyway, tonight just trying to open Amazon Music causes both my monitors to go black followed by a restart and Apple error message. I think there may have been an auto-update for it last week.
I was using Amazon Music in the past couple of weeks without issues. I've had four crashes & auto-restarts this evening, each time related to trying to open or install Amazon Music for Mac.
